Taojie Wang (王韬杰)

Welcome! I work on questions at the intersection of ethics, moral psychology, philosophy of action, and philosophy of AI.

I’m currently a Teaching Associate in the Philosophy Department at Boston University. I received my PhD in Philosophy from Brown University along with a Sc.M. in Computer Science in 2026. My committee members were Nomy Arpaly, Jamie Dreier, Emily Kress, and Bernard Reginster, and my Sc.M. thesis was advised by Ellie Pavlick. Before moving to the Boston area, I received my MA from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, BA in philosophy from KU Leuven in Belgium, and BA in English (Hon.) from University of Liverpool in the UK. My name is pronounced Tau-J-Wong. I was born and raised in Changsha, China.

My partner and I have a cat, Cotton, and a bunny, Ricey. They are great friends!
